Cub Scout Pack 241 Collectable Solid Pewter Ornaments
Celebrating The History of Glastonbury, CT
Our pack has been producing and selling locally designed and manufactured pewter ornaments for 33 years. This year we celebrate J. H. Hale for his accomplishments within the field of agricultural and for the introduction of the J.H Hale Peach.
Hale's Peaches
John Howard Hale was born in 1853 on his family farm in Glastonbury. In the 1880’s he developed a new type of peach tree that could endure the harsh New England climate and produce large delicious fruit. The peaches were very popular and by the end of the 19th century, Hale shipped peaches all over the U.S. and even to Europe. The original family farm expanded to a huge operation involving 1,200 acres in Glastonbury and Seymour, CT. By purchasing this ornament, you are supporting the fun and educational activities we are able to offer the Cub Scouts of Pack 241.
How can I buy these ornaments ?
Each ornament is $11.00 and all proceeds support our pack and all the activities we offer the Scouts.
